The project “Oceánicas: la mujer y la oceanografía” aims to disseminate the work of women scientists dedicated to the study of the oceans, to make known their life and work. Through this project, it is intended to generate scientific vocations in girls and boys and promote their creativity, their ability to make decisions and their equal treatment against gender inequalities.

Due to the importance of this project, our PhD student María Fernández-Míguez decided to be involved and write a post about her academic career. In her post you can know more about her research fields and advices for young students.
